Uses the techniques of occupational therapy in the process of comprehensive rehabilitation in order to improve the patients bio-psycho-social functioning.

The profession of an occupational therapist belongs to the group of medical professions that are increasingly sought after in today's labor market, both in Poland and abroad. An occupational therapist is a person who conducts various forms and techniques of occupational therapy, involving the activation of excluded people (sick, disabled, elderly and neglected) in social life.

What will you learn?

Ability to create a therapy program for groups and individuals.

Adapting to the patients needs.

The ability to patiently teach the patient to use rehabilitation equipment and awakening in him the will to be independent.

Cooperation with the rehabilitation team, following the doctors recommendations and consulting with him on an ongoing basis about the patients health status and progress in therapy.

Knowledge of various methods and forms of therapy and the ability to creatively carry out, among others workshop, art or sports classes.

Shaping in the patient various skills that improve his psychophysical condition, for example by performing gardening, tailoring, working with clay, etc.
